Thursday, January 30, 2025, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
On January 30th, we have an opportunity to put our interests in social justice to work. One of our primary means to enact social justice in our community is through our work with Dallas Area Interfaith, they are hosting an amazing session on the 30th at 7:00 PM that will begin our 2025 initiatives on addressing immigration, fair-housing and early childhood education.
- January 30th at 7pm
- Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church
- 1101 Reverend CT Smith Street, Dallas, TX 75203
- Carpooling available from KOG
Here are three reasons on why to join this initiative:
- For the joy of seeing people throughout the city who are willing to work together to give a voice to the voiceless, to stand with people usually ignored by city leaders. The joy of getting out of our own little bubbles---being in presence of this vast array of people—-all led by same Spirit of compassion with a longing for fairness, justice for all of God’s people
- To realize together as communities of faith that we have some power/influence while as individuals, or individual congregation, we do not have as much influence to change anything. As congregations working together, leaders in the city pay attention. Together we can make a positive difference in community
- You can be introduced to a few issues that have already surfaced from congregations around housing, immigration, early childhood education.
We have committed to at least 40 people attending from King of Glory and we are well on our way to that number. This is also a great opportunity to involve your children and youth – what a beautiful way for them to see the Word at work in the world. We can always welcome more.
