Who are the Backpack Recipients?
This year’s Backpack Challenge is an exciting way to give back to Dallas area youth. Our goal of 500 backpacks and $7,000 in monetary donations will give 500 students in Network of Community Services, Upbring Foster Services and Mosaic Family Services an opportunity to show up on the first day of school with all of the supplies they need.
What are KOG members donating?
This year, we are encouraging each family to provide one new backpack and/or make a monetary donation to help fill each backpack with supplies.
Why aren't we collecting school supplies?
The Faithful Ones dollars and monetary donations will go further by purchasing supplies in bulk. Just $14 will buy all the supplies needed to fill 1 backpack.
When are we collecting donations?
Backpacks and monetary donations will be received in the Atrium during the months of June and July. You can also donate by placing a check in the offering plate with “Backpack Challenge” written on the memo line.
